A 110 × 110 cm square woven in gambiered Canton gauze — xiangyun sha — one of China’s most revered silk traditions. Artisans finish each piece through a laborious river-mud treatment, then sun-dry it on the banks of the Pearl River. This process gives the silk its characteristic warm lustre and supple weight. Slight size variations may occur due to the handcrafted nature of each piece.
