Paisley Polka 70cm Double-Sided Silk Wool Square Scarf

Design

Paisley Polka splits the square into quarters and alternates two classic motifs: a dense paisley worked in fine gold line, and an open polka dot on a cream ground. The scarf is printed on both faces in contrasting colourways, so one side reads warm in deep burgundy and the reverse reads cool in near-black charcoal. A narrow camel band frames each face.

Craft

The scarf is woven from 30% silk and 70% wool in a twill construction. The diagonal twill grain is visible across the surface and holds the fine paisley line work cleanly. Wool gives the square warmth and body, while the silk content keeps the drape soft and adds a quiet lustre to the print.

The finished size is 70 x 70 cm and the edges are rolled. Because the two faces carry different colourways, the scarf changes character depending on how it is folded. Please allow for slight size measure variations in finished pieces.

How to Wear It

A double-sided square is worth folding deliberately, since the fold decides which palette leads.

• Fold on the diagonal and knot at the neck to show the burgundy paisley with the polka dot quarter forward.
• Reverse the fold to bring the charcoal face up for a cooler, quieter look.
• Roll it into a band so both faces show along the twist.
• Wear it over black, camel, cream, or grey, which both faces sit against naturally.

Care

This is a wool-rich blend, so dry cleaning is recommended. If washing at home, use cool water with a wool-safe detergent, do not wring or rub, reshape while damp and dry flat away from direct heat and sun. Store folded rather than hung, and keep it away from jewellery and rough surfaces.
